Ngerende Island Lodge and “Ngerende in the Wild” offer exclusive luxury and an unforgettable safari experience in the heart of the Masai Mara. The focus is on high-quality game viewing and first-class service.
The main lodge has been ideally situated on the banks of the Mara River within the Olchoro Conservancy – a 17400-acre reserve which borders the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Conservancy is home to a broad range of animal species and offers many varied activities for guests to learn about the flora and fauna.
This all-inclusive safari lodge provides 5-star elegance with just seven sumptuous Suites overlooking the Mara River. The stylish interiors include original hand-crafted paintings, rich fabrics and textiles which give a distinctive character and timeless charm.
The main lodge offers fine dining, a swimming pool and a spa. Further luxury tents and Suites are offered at the “Ngerende in the Wild” temporary mobile camp within the Masai Mara Game Reserve for a truly authentic “in the bush” experience.

Accommodation
Ngerende Island Lodge has just seven individually sited canvas-and-wood Suites built on raised platforms that allow delightful panoramic views down onto the Mara River and surrounding woodland. Each Suite has either twin or double beds in a spacious open-plan living / sleeping area, fireplace, stylish polished mahogany flooring, elegant furnishings, a private furnished terrace and en suite facilities with flushing wc, twin basins, shower and a bath that can be open-air (if desired). Amenities include luxurious Egyptian linens and feather pillows / duvet, bathrobe and slippers and organic toiletries. A Honeymoon Suite also features a Jacuzzi and a private plunge pool.
Dedicated butlers for each Suite ensure the highest levels of service and cater to guests’ every need. Services include laundry and private dining, either on your terrace or within the lodge gardens.

Facilities
The high-quality restaurant offers international cuisine from highly trained chefs and the emphasis is on fresh ingredients and most of the herbs and vegetables are grown on the lodge organic garden.
For private dining the pretty lawned gardens in front of the lodge and the natural woodland offer various ideal locations for romantic meals as well as for sunning and relaxing.
There is an attractive swimming pool with extensive wooden decking, a gift shop and the Ngerende Spa offers indulgent pampering through a range of therapeutic massages and treatments that can be taken individually or as a couple.

Activities
Located in the Olchoro Conservancy’s measuring approximately 17,400 acres, with its abundant wildlife, Ngerende has got number of activities/ things to do around the park. including; the game viewing. The lodge has specially designed 4×4 vehicles with expert guides and spotters – all with an amazing eye for finding the animals, birds and reptiles for which the Masai Mara is so famous.

Ngerende in the Wild
Ngerende in the Wild is a luxury temporary camp situated on the banks of the Mara River within the Masai Mara National Park.
Ngerende in the Wild has two options – a river view or lake view – and is positioned in an area abundant in wildlife and only 15 minutes from a major migration crossing. Guests are accommodated in luxury tents or the more traditional canvas/wood suites complete with butler service, exclusive chef and unsurpassed views.
At the River View site there are two luxury tents with every comfort and the adventure of open air dining (weather permitting), al fresco bucket showers and great sunsets.
For the Lake View the Suites are the more traditional canvas and wood structures with a lap pool in each of the two large Suites. There are amazing views over the savannah and it is not unusual for guests to be able to sit on their terrace watching the Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo that are resident around the camp.
A one- or two-night stay can be added as a supplement to a main stay at Ngerende Island Lodge for a unique combination of luxury and the bush.
